ÃÛÓïÖ±²¥app Students Explore Smart Manufacturing at Panasonic Malaysia
On 11th March 2025, students from the University of Tsukuba, Malaysia (ÃÛÓïÖ±²¥app) had the privilege of visiting as part of their "Society and Career" class.
Led by Professor Dr. Maki Tsujimura and Professor Dr. Hiromi Mochiyama, this visit provided an invaluable opportunity to understand Panasonic’s manufacturing processes, technological innovations, and sustainability efforts.
Founded in 1918 by Konosuke Matsushita, Panasonic has grown into a global leader, continuously driving technological advancements in electronics and manufacturing.
During the visit, students received an overview of Panasonic’s core products, including Electrolysis Capacitors, Car Sensors, and Human Machine Interface Devices.
Starting this year, Panasonic is also transitioning to the production of hybrid capacitors, further demonstrating its commitment to advancing technology and efficiency.
A major highlight of the visit was the discussion on IoT and robotics in Smart Factories, where robots are introduced into the assembly line to enhance production efficiency and reduce quality loss.
The CBG V3 factory tour allowed students to witness the manufacturing of capacitors, resistors, and switches, deepening their understanding of precision engineering and automated production.
In addition to technological insights, Panasonic Malaysia also shared the various qualifications required for different roles and emphasized its commitment to career development for all employees, regardless of their starting point.
At the conclusion of the visit, our students participated in an engaging and insightful discussion, where they had the opportunity to ask questions and satiate their curiosity about Panasonic’s operating system and employees.
We extend our sincerest gratitude to Panasonic Malaysia for hosting us and providing such valuable industry insights and career perspectives.
